I’ve been on the path of being a therapist since I was ten years old. Growing up in a family of addiction, codependency and chronic stress I found creative coping through imagination and play. I created “the therapist game” where I worked with imaginary clients, helping them solve their issues and resolve the stress in their lives. I didn’t know it at the time but I was working “experientially” to help myself cope with the chronic stress of growing up in a dysfunctional home.

Now some 33 years later I have profound gratitude that I have the ongoing opportunity to help others access their own creative inner healer as my life’s work. My approach is largely holistic and experiential and I love nothing more than rolling up my sleeves right along beside someone and witnessing their transformation. I believe the wisdom of the body has all of the information we need. Tuning in more deeply helps us with the insight and awarenss that enables us to make meaningful change. I’m passionate about the journey of healing and transformation.

I earned a Master's in Social Work from Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ and I am licensed in the state of Tennessee.

I have worked in the field of trauma and addiction over the past 25 years. My most valuable experience was gained by working on both ends of the socioeconomic spectrum at treatment centers including; Milestones at Onsite, The Recovery Ranch and Mending Hearts. Beginning my exploration in integrative and holistic modalities while living in Arizona, I was introduced to psychodrama through the Camelback Institute. The use of metaphor and play are powerful components to both psychodrama and experiential work and often help facilitate deep healing. In addition to psychodrama, I engaged in Shamanic journey work and Gestalt therapy where I learned additional experiential techniques.

After moving to Nashville TN in 1994, I was paused my career briefly to raise my family. During this time I rediscovered my love for creating art and I was able to study and show original works with an art collective. As my children grew up I returned to working in the field of psychotherapy. Over the last twelve years I’ve transitioned from primarily working with addiction to working with trauma as well, training in somatic experiencing (SomEx), brainspotting and breathwork and family constellations. I believe in the resiliency of the human spirit.
